TOWANDA — The Towanda boys and girls cross-country kept their NTL Large School titles on Tuesday as they both bested CV.

It's the third straight title for the Lady Knights while the second straight for the boys, and third title in four years.

"It's one of the goals we had at the start of the year, and we were going to have to run," Towanda coach Mike Maurer said. "Especially with how tough Sullivan is, and how tough Northeast was, it was a battle but it fun."

On the girls side they haven't lost an NTL dual match since 2023.

"We haven't lost a senior in two years," Maurer said. "We're going to miss Izzy, we're going to miss Leila, we're going to miss all the seniors - it's just a great group. I'm super proud for them, you don't get the chance to win titles every year, and they've been able to do it three years."

The boys won 16-47 as Towanda took four of the top five spots.

Emmett Klees (19:14) won the race followed by Boom Thompson (19:15), Brayden Cox (19:33), and Phillip Spinney (19:38).

Hagen Jones (20:11) rounded out their scorers in sixth.

The Lady Knights won 19-38 as they went 1-2-3 behind Maris Cobb (21:24), Mary-Kate Eberlin (21:49), and Izzy Larson (22:12).

Kenzie Brown (24:36) was sixth, and Leila Cobb (26:13) came in seventh.
