BLOSSBURG — Troy jumped out to a 34-0 first quarter lead en route to a 48-12 win over North Penn-Mansfield during NTL football action Friday.
The win is Troy's fifth straight as they improve to 5-1 on the season.
Spencer Martin had three touchdowns to his name in the game - one rushing and two passing.
The junior quarterback opened up the scoring with a 4-yard rush with 9:44 on the clock to make it 7-0 after Landon Lee's kick.
Jayden Kutt punched in the second touchdown for a 13-0 lead.
Then with 4:19 to play in the first frame Martin hit Josiah Pesesky for a 21-yard scoring strike, with Lee's kick good for a 20-0 score.
An Evan Allen 2-yard touchdown run with 1:15 on the clock made it 27-0 after Lee's kick.
Finally, Logunn Heasley had a pick-6 from 39-yards out with 54.8 seconds left in the quarter. Lee's kick was good for the five touchdown lead at the first horn.
Early in the second Martin hit Teribury for a 9-yard scoring strike with Lee's kick making it 41-0.
Troy made it 48-0 with 8:50 left in the second quarter of a Lucas Norton 15-yard scoring run. Lee's kick was good.
Jeremiah Lawrence had two rushing touchdowns for the Tigers - including a 77-yard burst in the second quarter - to get them on the scoreboard.
