WYALUSING — Wyalusing used a Jenna Morningstar goal to top Towanda, 1-0, during their annual Pink Game in NTL girls soccer action Thursday.
Morningstar scored off a Lia Fischer assist just under five minutes into the contest.
"The girls moved the ball well and created several scoring opportunities," said Wyalusing coach Katie Fischer.
The Rams had a 34-4 edge in shots, and 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Sierra Gromley had seven saves to get the clean sheet, while Kendall Cook made 24 saves for the Knights.
"We played down 9-v-11, and sometimes 8-v-11 for large parts of the game," Towanda coach Josh Maye said. "I am so proud of the girls that competed on the field, and gave everything they had to keep the game competitive."
