WELLSBORO — Wyalusing had one of their better offensive games but still fell, 41-13, to Wellsboro during NTL football action Friday.

The Hornets led 23-0 after one, and 35-0 at the half with Conner Earle scoring two rushing touchdowns in the second half for the Rams.

Earle finished with 71-yards rushing with two touchdowns on 19 carries, while Matthew Ferguson ran for 33-yards on seven carries. Dillon Gonsauls chipped in with 11 touches for 20-yards.

It was a 2-headed rushing attack for Wellsboro between Max Mascho (12 carries, 93-yards, two touchdowns) and Reed Richardson (13 carries, 88-yards, three touchdowns).

Griffin Morral was 5-for-10 for 117-yards and a touchdown with Kody Enck hauling in the scoring catch.

The Hornets got on the scoreboard with 9:06 left in the opening quarter with a Mascho 2-yard run.

A minute later Richardson punched one in from 17-yards out for a 14-0 lead.

Wellsboro took the air on their next touchdown as Morrall hit Enck on a 5-yard strike for a 21-0 lead.

A safety with 18 seconds left in the quarter made it 23-0.

Richardson would get back to back 3-yard touchdown runs in the second quarter for a 35-0 lead at the half.

Halfway through the third Mascho had a 2-yard scoring run for a 41-0 Wellsboro lead.

Earle got the Rams on the scoreboard with a 5-yard touchdown run with 1:50 on the clock, though the 2-point conversion failed.

In the fourth quarter Earle had another 5-yard scoring run, while Jackson Fischer hit the point after for a 41-13 final.

Wyalusing will host Troy next week.
