ON TAP TODAY: WYALUSING-CANTON HOOPS HIGHLIGHTS TONIGHT'S ACTION (2022-01-12)

Northern Tier Sports Report
Just five contests on the docket for today, but a big hoops game with two of the top teams from NTL Division-II facing off against each other.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Wyalusing at Canton, 7:30 p.m.: The game of the week, as both teams come in undefeated in divisional play. The Warriors are riding a 4-game win streak, and recently saw Isaiah Niemczyk net his 1,000th point. Wyalusing are winners of 3-in-a-row, and pulled away from a pesky NEB squad over the weekend.

Towanda at Troy, 7:30 p.m.: It’s been a week since the Knights have played, but they took Athens to the wire on the road. Troy started the week with a big win over Warrior Run, and is coming off a win against Wellsboro last week.

NP-Liberty at NEB, 7:30 p.m.: The Panthers welcome the defending NTL Division-II champions as they look to nab their first divisional win. NEB came close to upsetting Wyalusing over the weekend, while NPL has won three of their last four games.

WRESTLING

Sayre, Williamson at Canton, 5 p.m.: The Warriors are coming off a big win over Athens on Tuesday, and will host both Sayre and Williamson in back to back matches on Wednesday. Williamson defeated Wellsboro on Tuesday, as well.
