Northern Tier Sports Report
WYSOX — The Troy minors softball all-star team saw their season come to an end as they fell to Susquehanna 11-2 during the District 15 championship game Saturday.

If Troy had won they would have forced a winner-take-all on Sunday.

Blakelee Brown went 2-for-3 with a home run for Troy, while pitching the first two innings with four strikeouts.

Gracie Pepper and Violet Kneller each had a hit, while Jordyn Sheeley scored a run. Sheeley pitched four innings, striking out eight.

Troy found themselves down 4-0 after two innings, but got onto the scoreboard in the third. Sheeley led off by getting hit by a pitch, then scored on a Brown single.

Susquehanna, though, would added seven more runs over the final three innings to go up 11-1. In the final inning Brown led off with a home run for Troy.

Troy finishes the year second in the district, with just two losses, both coming to Susquehanna.
