Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda lost to Bloomsburg 5-0 during non-league girls’ tennis action Saturday.
At first singles Jocelyn Stroud fell 6-1, 6-0 to Panther Mya Coyne, while at second singles Towanda’s Lainey Alderfer fell 6-2, 6-1 to Erin Lee. Towanda’s Katey Calaman lost 6-0, 6-0 to Anela Lyman.
At first doubles Towanda’s duo of Alyse Bass and Polina Goncharova lost 6-3, 6-4 to Lauren Baker and Lucy Eklund, while at second doubles the Knight duo of Rayna Roberts and Maddie Blanchard lost 6-2, 6-1 to Hope Lapinski, and Anshita Nandal.
In exhibition action Goncharova won 3-2 over Rose Lew, while Calaman teamed with Bloomsburg’s Scarlett Weinberg to edge Alderfer and Panther Braylin Evans 6-4.
