NTL WRESTLING: TOWANDA INDUCTS VANDERPOOL, LAMPHERE INTO THEIR WRESTLING HALL OF FAME (2022-12-12)

TOWANDA — Before their match against Tunkhannock Towanda inducted two more members into their wrestling Hall of Fame Monday.

Caleb Vanderpool and Jake Lamphere, both of the Class of 2008, were celebrated for their accomplishments on the mat.


Vanderpool was a 4-year starter, and owns several top spots on the Knights leaderboard: most wins (166), teams points (596), career dual meet wins (119), wins in one season (49), and wins in an undefeated dual meet season (33). He is also Towanda’s only 4-time North Section Champion, and the first wrestler to win sectional, district, and regional championships in the same season. 


Vanderpool also finished third in the state as a senior.


Lamphere was also a 4-year letter winner, finishing with 106 career victories, 60 of them by fall. His senior year Lamphere was a North Section champion, while also medaling at districts and regionals en route to a 43 win sesaon.
