Northern Tier Sports ReportSullivan County graduate Nate Higley lost his opening match at the NCAA Division-I Wrestling Championships on Thursday.
The 149-pounder from George Mason came in as the 26th seed, and lost to Northwestern’s Yahya Thomas 12-3 in the first round.
Higley then lost to Oklahoma State’s Victor Voinovich 15-8 in the first round of consolations to fall out of the tournament.
