Northern Tier Sports ReportThe Towanda girls’ soccer team raised $1,500 for Towanda’s 7th grade science teacher Maggie Lane, who is battling breast cancer.
She attended the girls’ annual Pink Game but wasn’t able to be with them when they had the donation for her. The girls put together a short video with encouraging messages to her and sent it along with their check.
The team was moved to help her cover medical costs that insurance wasn’t covering.
