
Towanda junior Anna Dunn continued here high-scoring ways to help the Black Knights to three wins on the week, while Newark Valley senior Dan Truesdail led the Cardinals to their first win of the season. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional “Athletes of the Week.”
TOWANDA’S DUNN NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK’
Dunn scored 10 goals in leading Towanda to a 3-0 week, and now has more than 30 goals on the season.
Dunn scored six goals against Sullivan county, then scored only goal in a 1-0 win over Williamson. She then three more in a 4-0 win over Wellsboro.

NEWARK VALLEY’S TRUESDAIL NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK’
Truesdail accounted for four touchdowns in leading Newark Valley to its first win of the season — a 43-36 victory over Deposit/Hancock Saturday.
Truesdail carried the ball 16 times for 150 yards and three TDs ,and caught an 80-yard TD pass.
On defense, he forced a fumble and had a quarterback sack, the latter being a key play in stopping the Eagles’ final drive.
