Northern Tier Sports Report
As the calendar flips to December winter sports will tip-off, with this weekend highlighted by a couple hoops showcases.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Friday, December 1

Susquehanna at Wyalusing, 7:30 p.m.: The Rams will be hosting the Susquehanna-Bradford County Challenge this year. There will be a JV game at 4:30 p.m., followed by Blue Ridge vs. Sayre at 6 p.m.


Canton at Millville, 7 p.m.: The Warriors start things off by taking a trip to Millville for their season opener. The Quakers are coming off a down year in 2022-2023.


Saturday, December 2

Blue Ridge at Wyalusing, 3 p.m.: The Rams will host Blue Ridge in the second day of games to start things off. There will be a JV game of Susquehanna vs Wyalusing, then the showcase ends with Susquehanna taking on Sayre.


GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Friday, December 1

Wyalusing at Blue Ridge, 7:30 p.m.: The Rams will be playing in the girls’ version of the Susquehanna-Bradford County Challenge, this one to take place at Blue Ridge.


Canton at NP-Liberty Tournament: The Warriors start their season at the NPL Tournament, which features some teams from around the area.


Saturday, December 2

Wyalusing vs Susquehanna at Blue Ridge, 1:30 p.m.: The Rams will face Susquehanna to start off the second day of games. This game will be played at Blue Ridge.


Canton at NPL Tournament: The Warriors will wrap up the second day of the NP-Liberty Tournament.


Towanda at Loyalsock, 6 p.m.: The youthful Black Knights will start the season against one of the pre-season favorites to take the Class 3A district title this season in the Lancers.


WRESTLING

Saturday, December 2

Williamson at NEB, 2 p.m.: The Panthers open their season on the mats as they host a dual meet against Williamson. The Warriors won the early season match-up last year.
