It was another strong season for Bradford County’s girls runners this past fall, led by NEB’s Gracelyn Laudermilch.
Laudermilch went undefeated in NTL dual meets, claimed the District IV, Class A title, and earned her first cross-country state medal, making her the Bradford County All-Stars Girls’ Runner of the Year.
Towanda freshman Izzy Larson burst on to the scene as one of the top runners in the league. Her season culminated with a season’s best performance at districts, earning a state berth in the tough District IV, Class AA field. That makes her the Newcomer of the Year.
Team wise Athens repeated as NTL, Division-I champions despite losing one of their best runners last season. With the title the Wildcats’ coach, Scott Riley, is the Coach of the Year.
The first team consists of Laudermilch, and her teammate, Anaiah Kolesar, along with Athens’ Sara Bronson, Wyalusing’s Megan King, and Larson.
The second team is Troy’s Alyssa Parks and Katie Lackey, Athens’ Ava Hughes, NEB’s Amelia Kapr, and Wyalusing’s Riley Porter.
On the third team are NEB’s Lilah Hughes and Mel Shumway, Athens’ Thea Bentley and Abby Burgess, and Wyalusing’s Kira Allen.
