MONTOURSVILLE — The Troy girls’ soccer team split at the Montoursville on Saturday, beating the hosts 1-0 in overtime, then losing to South Williamsport 2-1.
Saydi Renzo got the game winning goal at the 7:36 mark of the extra period for the 1-0 win.
Troy out shot Montoursville 19-8 with both teams getting two corner kicks. Madelyn Seeley made seven saves in net for the Trojans.
In the second game all the scoring was in the first half as South got two early goals to go up 2-0 - scoring at the 31:26 mark, and again at the 24:25 mark.
An Alexis McRoberts goal with 13:58 left in the half made it a 2-1 game, and that’s how it played out in the second half.
South out shot Troy 18-12, and had a 10-0 edge in corner kicks. Seeley made eight saves in net for the Trojans.
Troy (5-1) hosts Wellsboro on Wednesday.
