Sunday afternoon wrestling in the PPL Center in Allentown, PA, taking on the number one team in the country, Lehigh University versus Penn State University, in front of a sell-out crowd of 9700 people.

Getting the start at 125 was Sheldon Seymour ranked 15th taking on Luke Lilledahl ranked 16th from Penn State.

The first period was spent getting the feel for each other. Lots of hand fighting and a few half shots. After the first period, the score remained tied at 0-0. Seymour would defer his choice to the third with Liiedahl choosing the bottom position to start the second period.

Lilledahl would score the escape in the first seconds of the second period. More hand fighting from the neutral position. The score would end 1-0 for the second period.

Seymour would choose the bottom position to start the third period. Trying to earn the escape to tie the score the wrestlers would go out of bounds. Following a restart, Seymour would earn the escape to tie the score at 1-1. More hand fighting, with Seymour getting in a few shots without being able to finish. One final shot attempt in the final :25 seconds would see Seymour in deep with Lilledahl able to fend off and reattack to earn the lone takedown of the match with less than :20 left to take the match  4-1.

A match against ranked wrestlers coming down to the wire to start the dual off sees Penn State take the 3-0 lead in the dual. In the end, Lehigh would lose the match 36-3. Penn State would lose a team point from the Starocci match for unsportsmanlike actions.

Lehigh wrestling will be back in action as they host the Sheridan Open December 20. With the dual season to pick back up in full swing in January.
