COLLEGE: TROY'S SEYMOUR GETS WIN FOR LEHIGH AGAINST BINGHAMTON (2025-01-12)

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Wrestling close to his hometown, Sheldon Seymour and Lehigh University were in Binghamton taking on the Bearcats in conference play.

Starting the match off at 125, Seymour was facing off against Carson Wagner. Seymour would earn first period takedown to take the 3-0 lead. Seymour gives up the 1-point escape. The first period would end 3-1.

Second period would start with Seymour in the top position. Seymour would give up the 1-point escape to make the score 3-2. Seymour would give up a takedown to go down 5-3. Seymour would earn a 1-point escape to cut the score to 5-4 Wagner. Seymour would also earn another point on a stall call to tie the score at 5 going into the third.

In the third period Seymour would start in the down position. Seymour would earn a 1-point escape to take the lead at 6-5. Seymour again would earn another stall point to make the score 7-5. And that is how the match would end with Seymour grinding out the 7-5 decision to give Lehigh the lead at 3-0. I


In the end of the dual meet Lehigh would beat Binghamton 23-16. Lehigh will take the trip a farther north to take on Cornell Sunday January 12.
