Nick Woodruff and the Penn College Wildcats made their way back to the mats following winter break. This time at the AMCC Duals. Teams attending were Penn College, Alfred State, Penn State Behrend, and Pitt-Bradford.
In the first dual match against Alfred State, Woodrfuff would face off against Brent Perry. Woodruff would take control of the match from the opening whistle to securing a 15-0 technical fall in 2:43 and give his team 5 more points. In the end, Penn College would win the dual 30-17.
Woodruff would see Nolan Fenton of Penn State Behrend in the second dual of the day. Again, Woodruff would take control of the match and never look back. Winning his second match of the day by technical fall 20-2 in 4:36. Adding another 5 points to his team’s lead. Penn College would again win the second dual 29-12 to make it 2-0 on the day with one dual to go.
Woodruff would face off against Alec Kapacs of Pitt-Bradford in the third dual. Woodruff would make short work in his third match, winning by fall in 0:58 to add 6 more points to his team. Penn College would win the third dual 37-15.
Woodruff would end his day 3-0 with two technical falls and one pin. Penn College would also go 3-0 on the day. Woodruff and Penn College will be back in action Saturday, January 18 at the PA/NY Duals where they will take to the mats against NYU, and Wilkes.
