MUNCY — Sullivan County rallied late but ultimately fell to Muncy, 46-36, during Mid-Penn boys’ basketball action Tuesday.
The Griffins were down 34-17 going into the fourth when they poured in 19 points. However, it wasn’t enough as the Indians netted 12 of their own to get the win.
Lucas King had 17 points, and three steals to lead Sullivan, as Cayden Smithkors netted eight points, to go with five boards.
Tucker Blasi scored five points, Ryan Murray had four points, with Jaiden Moore netting two points.
Nathan Rogers and Stiles Eyer had 12 points each to lead Muncy.
Eyer notched 10 first quarter points to put Muncy up 16-9 after one. Smithkors paced Sullivan with five points.
The Griffins were out scored 18-8 over the next two quarters to fall down by 17 points going into the final frame.
In the fourth Lucas King went off for 13 points - including three 3-balls - but while Muncy had just three field goals, they did go 5-for-10 from the charity stripe, good enough to pull out the win.
Muncy (7-6) hosts Bucktail on Friday.
