NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: FITCH, WILLIAMS LEAD CANTON PAST WILLIAMSON (2025-01-15)

CANTON — Canton broke their 5-game losing streak with a 60-38 win over Williamson during NTL boys’ basketball action Tuesday.

Canton jumped out to a 20-6 first quarter lead and never looked back.


Ben Fitch had 26 points, including three 3-balls, while Talin Williams added 17. 


Ryder Route netted seven, Andrew Smith scored four, with Simon Wile, Monte Whitehead, and Rylan Wesneski getting two points each.


Williams scored 10 points in the opening frame while Fitch hit two 3-balls as Canton built their 14 point lead.


In the second Fitch went off for seven points, sending Canton to a 34-16 lead at the half. 


Williamson tried to rally in the third, scoring a game high 14 points in the frame, but Canton matched them with 15 themselves, behind seven from Fitch. They brought the win home in the fourth, out scoring Williamson 11-8.


Canton (5-7) is at Sayre on Thursday.
