NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: ROUPP'S 21 LEADS CANTON PAST WILLIAMSON (2025-01-15)

TIOGA JUNCTION — Lydia Roupp had a season high 21 points as Canton rolled past Williamson, 52-28, during NTL girls’ basketball action Wednesday.

Roupp shot 7-for-14 on the night to get over the 20-point mark.


Kendall Kitchen added 13 points, five boards, and four assists, with Cailyn VanNoy scoring eight points to go with seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals. 


Stella Rockwell notched four points with three assists, as Alexis McRoberts and Danah Wesneski had three points apiece. McRoberts grabbed 17 boards, with Wesneski getting four rebounds.


Olivia Meisner and Aubrey Wells had eight points each to lead Williamson.


Canton jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter as Roupp had 11. Both scored 11 points in the second frame with Kitchen netting nine to lead Canton, giving them a 28-11 lead at the half.


Roupp notched six more points in the third as Canton built 36-15 lead going into the final frame.


In the fourth Canton notched 16 points, with VanNoy’s two 3-balls leading the way, as they secured the win.


Canton (8-5) will host Sayre on Friday with a 6 p.m. start.
