Northern Tier Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The NEB girls edged Wellsboro on the mat, while the Panthers fell the Hornets in NTL wrestling action.
The girls finished tied 24-24 as they both had two falls and two forfeits, with NEB winning as they scored more near fall points.
Anaiah Kolesar (124), and Mackenzie Clark (130) both scored falls for NEB, as Ava Lambert (148), and Cora Franklin (155) had forfeits.
On the boys’ side Wellsboro edged NEB 25-24.
The Hornets had three forfeits to NEB’s two, while NEB had two falls. Wellsboro, though, had a major decision, and a decision to pull out the 1-point win.
Mason Alexander (107), and Hunter Comstock (121) both had forfeits, with Alex Gomez (145), and Kale Howland (160), both scoring falls.
