
TROY — Troy used a big second half to down Jersey Shore, 57-48, during non-league girls’ hoops action Saturday.
Jersey Shore led 27-22 at the half, but a 20-10 third in favor of Troy put them up 42-38 going into the fourth. In the final frame they out scored the Bulldogs 15-11 to get the win.
Kailyn Sterling had 23 points to lead Troy, as Alyssa Parks netted 17. Giana Renzi scored 10, Gloria Andrews notched six, and Ella VanNoy finished with one.
Peyton Dincher went off for 30 points to lead Jersey Shore.
Dincher was hot to start, scoring 11 of her team’s 15 first quarter points, while Parks paced Troy with six.
The Trojans out scored Jersey Shore 13-12 in the second behind four from Sterling, and Parks.
The Trojans would hit four 3-balls in their big third quarter, led by eight from points from Renzi, and seven out of Sterling.
Sterling then went off for 10 of her team’s 15 points in the fourth to get the win.
Troy (17-4) will travel to Wellsboro on Tuesday for their regular season finale.
