
WELLSBORO — Towanda picked up the 50-18 win over Wellsboro during NTL girls’ basketball action Saturday.
After a close first quarter the Knights out scored Wellsboro 37-8 the rest of the way.
Payton Perry had 12 points, seven steals, four boards, and three assists for the Knights as Brynn Woodruff added 10 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.
Mya Maynard had eight points, and eight boards, as Reese Sullivan netted eight points to go with three steals.
Karis Flynn finished with seven points, and three steals, while Ali Hollett had three points, and Mary-Kate Eberlin added two.
Paige Logsdon led Wellsboro with six points.
The Knights led 13-10 after one behind five points from Flynn. It was a low scoring second quarter, with Towanda winning that frame 7-4.
The big break came in the third as the Knights poured in 21 points to Wellsboro’s two, with Maynard, and Perry scoring six points each.
Towanda (13-8) hosts Mansfield on Monday.
