Northern Tier Sports ReportSAYRE — Canton jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter as they rolled past Sayre, 48-3, in NTL girls’ hoops action Tuesday.
Cailyn VanNoy had 17 points on 6-for-7 shooting, while adding five boards, four steals, and three assists.
Kendall Kitchen finished with 15 points, three assists, and five steals, as Stella Rockwell netted five points.
Lydia Roupp had four points, and four boards, with Lily Jackson also getting four points. Alexis McRoberts chips in with three points, and four rebounds while Savannah Boyles grabbed four boards, as well.
Danah Wesneski added three assists, and two steals.
VanNoy led Canton in the first with 10 points, while Rockwell netted all five of her points in the second.
In the third Kitchen and McRoberts combined for three 3-pointers as they secured the win.
Canton (15-7) will travel to Troy on Thursday with a 6 p.m. in the opening round of the NTL Showdown.
