Traveling south to the City of Brotherly Love and the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, Lehigh looks to do battle with the Penn Quakers. With the dual season closing Sheldon Seymour would be looking to avenge a loss from last year when he takes on Max Gallegher.
Seymour ranked number 10 by Intermat wrestling takes the mat against Max Gallegher ranked 24 by Intermat. The first period was full of hand fighting and feeling each other out. Half shots by both wrestlers. No one in real danger of getting takedown.
Seymour would start the second period in the bottom position. Seymour would earn the escape to go up 1-0. Again, lots of hand fighting and head and hands defense, with no one in danger of getting taken down.
In the third period, Seymour would start in the top position. Seymour would work on top before giving up the 1-point escape to even the score at 1.This time Seymour would get in on a shot late in the third period and secure the 3-point takedown and put on a tough ride. After a restart Seymour would end the match on top and earn the hard fought 4-1 decision to put Lehigh up 13-0.
In the end Lehigh would close out the dual with a 22-12 win over the Penn Quakers. Lehigh will close out its regular season next Friday as they host Arizona State University.
