Northern Tier Sports ReportA big week of performances with plenty of milestones and podium spots to do around as regular season hoops wrapped up, the NTL Showcase crowned their champions, while things ended on the mats with the North Section, and the District IV Girls’ Championships.
On the boys’ side Troy’s Carter Austin went 3-0 to win his first North Section title, with the senior qualifying for districts for the first time in his career, earning him the Male Athlete of the Week.
For the girls Canton’s Kendall Kitchen scored her 1,000th point, the first Warrior to do so in over 20 years, while on the mat Towanda’s JC Allis took home a second place finish at the District IV Tournament with both earning the Female Athlete of the Week honors.
