SULLIVAN'S WADE REACHES SEMIFINALS AT DISTRICTS (2025-02-22)

WILLIAMSPORT — Sullivan County’s Colton Wade (127) reached the semifinals at the first day of the District IV, Class AA Championships Friday.

Wade opened with a bye, then got a fall in 1:47 over Milton’s Tyler Locke to guarantee his spot in regionals. He’ll get Montgomery’s Carden Wagner in the semifinals.


Andrew Kapec (114), Keegan Bagley (139), Layne Price (152), and Wyatt Bagley (133) all fell into the consolations.


Kapec nearly reached the semifinals, opening the tournament with a 34 second pin. In the quarters he led most of the way, but lost 6-4 late to Warrior Run’s Chase Wirnsberger.


He’ll get Sugar Valley’s Hunter Berry in the elimination round.


Keegan opened with a 6-5 win, but then lost a 17-2 tech fall. He’ll face Loyalsock’s Ivan Baker in the elimination round.


Layne lost a 19-3 tech fall in his opener, and will face Hughesville’s Keagan Smith in the elimination round.


Wyatt opened with a 17-3 major decision loss, and faces Warrior Run’s Caden Snyder in the elimination round.
