
WYALUSING — Kali Ayres had a day as she hit two dingers to lead Troy past Wyalusing, 17-0 in four innings, during NTL softball action Tuesday.
Ayres (4-for-4) had 8-RBI and three runs to go with the two home runs, as Marlee Stanton (2-for-4) scored, and drove in two runs.
Sydney Bellows (1-for-2) had 3-RBI with two runs scored, as Lauren Reed crossed home three times.
Lauren Ridall (1-for-3) scored three times, and had an RBI, with Erinn Knapp (1-for-4) scoring, while driving in a run.
Olivia Champluvier (1-for-2) had two runs scored, a s Madi Palmer scored, and drove in a run. Amber James also crossed home.
Knapp got the win, going four innings with nine strikeouts, one walk, and five hits.
Treanna Nickeson (2-for-3) led the Rams at the plate, with Addisyn Bly (1-for-3), Rachel Wilson (1-for-2), and Kenda Millard (1-for-1) also getting hits.
Addison Fluck started, and went two innings with three strikeouts, three walks, three hits, and six runs scored.
Kylie Pickett tossed the next two innings, with four walks, eight hits, and 11 runs.
After a scoreless first Troy would score six runs in the second inning, all with two outs, as Bellows drew a bases loaded walk to score Champluvier.
An error off the bat of Ridall brought home Stanton, then came Ayres’ grand slam for the 6-0 lead.
Troy tacked on eight more in the second as an error off the bat of Palmer brought in Champluvier. Two batters later Bellows drove in James, and Palmer on a hit for a 9-0 advantage.
A Ridall hit scored Reed to make it 10-0, followed by Bellows scoring on an Ayres single. Ridall was plated by a Knapp hit for a 12-0 score.
After an out Stanton singled in Ayres, and Knapp to make it 14-0.
In the top of the fourth Ayres hit a 3-run home run, scoring Reed, and Ridall, for the 17-0 final.
Troy (2-1) will host undefeated NP-Liberty on Thursday, while Wyalusing (0-3) welcomes Athens.
