
TIOGA JUNCTION — Wyalusing used a 9-run sixth inning to beat Williamson, 17-7, during NTL baseball action Tuesday.
Williamson led 4-0 after one, and 5-1 after two. The Rams chipped away, getting three runs in the third, and then two more in the fourth to take a 6-5 lead.
The Warriors tied it in the bottom of the fifth, only to watch Wyalusing rattle off nine runs in the sixth.
Williamson got one back in the bottom half of the inning, but Wyalusing scored to more in the seventh for the win.
Isaac Shaffer (3-for-4) scored three times, and had 3-RBI as Marshall Huston (4-for-4) had a double, with four runs scored, and an RBI.
Kenny Mapes (2-for-3) had a double with two runs scored, and an RBI as Nolan Aeppli (1-for-2) drove in two runs with a run scored.
Logan Norton (1-for-5) scored twice, and had an RBI, as Hunter House also crossed home twice while driving in a run.
Seth McCammon (1-for-4), Colton Robinson, and Landry Tinna( 1-for-4) all scored.
Michael Phillips (1-for-4) had 2-RBI, as Dawson Biza (1-for-1) also drove in a run.
In the second Shaffer had a lead off single and scored on an error off the bat of Phillips.
In the third Huston led off with a hit, followed by a walk to Mapes. House then reached on an error to load the bases.
Huston would steal home, followed by Mapes scoring on an error to cut it to 5-3.
After two outs a Phillips hit brought in House to make it 5-4.
In the fourth Norton would reach on an error followed by Huston getting hit by a pitch. After a walk to Mapes loaded the bases House drew a walk to bring in Norton.
A Shaffer hit scored Huston to make it 6-5 Rams.
After Williamson tied it Wyalusing had their big inning, scoring seven of their nine runs with two outs.
Huston would draw a 1-out walk, followed by Mapes getting a base on balls. After House was walked Shaffer made them pay with a 2-run single for an 8-6 lead.
McCammon kept things going with a hit.
After a second out Aeppli drove in two more with a hit, followed by Tinna drawing a walk. A Norton single scored McCammon to make it 11-6.
After Aeppli scored on a steal Huston doubled in Tinna. Norton would scored on a steal, then Mapes doubled in Huston for a 15-6 score.
In the seventh Shaffer would reach on an error, followed by Robinson drawing a walk.
After an out Biza singled in Shaffer, then two batters later Huston hit in Robinson for the 17-7 final.
Wyalusing (3-8) will host Towanda on Thursday.
