
Towanda split a pair of junior high baseball games with CV, as the ‘A’ team lost 6-5, while the ‘B’ team won 6-5.
In the loss Drew Maghamez (2-for-3) had two doubles, 4-RBI, and a run scored for Towanda, as Joey Montoya (2-for-2) scored twice.
Harper Wells (1-for-3) had an RBI, as Gabe Wolf (1-for-2) and Brayden Cox (1-for-2) both scored. Brayden Spencer (1-for-2) also had a hit.
Welles struck out four in 2 2/3-innings of work with Maghamez striking out two in 1 1/3-innings.
In the second game Towanda broke a 5-5 tie with a run in the bottom of the fifth to get the walk-off win.
Dempsey Stevens (2-for-2) had a double with two runs scored, as Brayden Tuttle (2-for-2) had a triple with a run scored, and 2-RBI.
Jeff Comstock (2-for-2) scored twice, and had an RBI, with Rylan Cook (1-for-2) getting an RBI.
Landon Hotaling (1-for-2), and Nolyn Tuttle (1-for-1) also had hits, Jonathan Beachey scored a run, with Hudson Nash driving one in.
Brayden Tuttle went one inning, striking out one, as Nash went an inning, as well. Wyatt Jones went the final 2 2/3-innings with five strikeouts.
