
TIOGA JUNCTION — The NEB boys’ track and field team came up just short against Williamson, falling 79-71 during NTL action Tuesday. For the girls Williamson won 98-47.
On the boys’ side NEB went 1-2 in the discus with Lex Cragle (116-feet), and Tucker Hughes (97-feet, 1-inch). Ben Ellis (36-feet) was second in the shot put, while Creed Dewing (102-feet, 10-inches) was second in the javelin.
NEB’s Daniel Barrett (36-feet) and Ed Eastman (33-feet, 10 1/2-inches) went 2-3 in the triple jump, with Ayden Wilson (5-feet, 2-inches) taking third in the high jump.
The Panther 4x800 relay won in 12:22.3, with Miles Sanders (21.8) and Malachi Taylor (21.9) going 2-3 in the 110 hurdles.
Brody Bennett (5:24) won the 1600 and Tyler Kuhn (12.3) was third in the 100. NEB’s 4x100 relay won in 49.1, and Barrett (48.4) and Wilson (49.1) went 2-3 in the 300 hurdles.
Dewing (2:16.8) won the 800 followed by Ryan Jones (2:21.1) and Jackson Martin (2:28.6). Kuhn (24.7) won the 200.
The Panthers swept the 3200 with Jackson Martin (12:54), Jones (12:56), and Eastman (13:12).
The NEB 4x400 relay won in 3:54.6.
On the girls’ side the NEB 4x800 relay won in 13:24.9, with Mallorie Maynard (18.2) winning the 100 hurdles, as Amelia Kapr (18.8) was third.
Anaiah Kolesar (14.3) took third in the 100 as Lillie Maynard (6:20) and Sophie Bennett (6:36) went 2-3 in the 1600. Riley Lamson (1:22) was third in the 400, with Bennett (1:06.8) third in the 300 hurdles.
Gracelyn Laudermilch (2:32.7) and Kolesar (2:49.8) went 1-2 in the 800. Laudermilch (13:13) also won the 3200 as Bennett (16:08) came in third.
Cora Franklin won the discus (97-feet, 3-inches) while taking second in the shot put (32-feet, 5-inches). Mallorie Maynard won the high jump (4-feet, 8-inches) and was third in the triple jump (27-feet, 5-inches), as Lillie Maynard (4-feet, 6-inches) was third in the high jump.
