Northern Tier Sports ReportSAYRE — Hunter House struck out 16 as Wyalusing shutout Sayre, 3-0, in NTL baseball action Thursday.
House went 6 2/3-innings with four hits, and one walk, while Marshall Huston came on to get the final out.
The Rams had a run in the fourth, and two more in the fifth.
House (1-for-3) also had a home run with 2-RBI with Isaac Shaffer (2-for-3) scoring a run. Kenny Mapes (1-for-4) also scored as Logan Norton (1-for-4), Owen Brown (1-for-3), and Nason Aeppli (1-for-3) had hits.
In the third Shaffer singled, then found home one a steal to take a 1-0 lead.
In the fourth Mapes hit a 2-out single, then House took a 1-1 offering to center field for the home run to make it 3-0.
Wyalusing (4-12) hosts Canton on Monday.
