
ATHENS — The Canton boys track and field team was eighth overall with 40 points at the NTL Championships Friday.
Lawrence Halbfoerster won the 3200 (10:08.04), and took second in the 1600 (4:32.8), lowering the school record by .1 of a second.
John Whitehead took sixth in the 100 hurdles (18.85), and eighth in the 300 hurdles (47.85), as Wyatt Hilton was fifth in the shot put (38-feet, 11 3/4-inches) and eighth in the discus (112-feet).
Quincy Wesneski took fifth in the javelin (126-feet), with Thomas Guindon taking seventh in the 110 hurdles (18.92).
The 4x800 was fifth in 9:18.32, while the 4x400 took sixth in 3:54.14.
