Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Canton softball fell to Athens, 11-0 in five innings, during NTL action Wednesday.
Athens hurler Maddi Hiley struck out four in the no-hitter, while walking three.
The Wildcats scored two in the second, four in the third, two in the fourth, and three more in the fifth.
Tara Gilbert started for Canton, going four innings with one strikeout, no walks, four hits, and eight runs scored, one of which was earned.
Addi Pepper tossed the final inning, striking out one with one walk, two hits, and three runs, one of which was earned.
Canton (3-16) hosts Montgomery on Friday for their season finale.
