Canton track and field had one of their more successful seasons in 2025, with two state qualifiers and a state medalists by season’s end.

“We had a successful season, where we saw school records reset with Lawrence breaking the 1600m record, Alexis resetting her discus record, and Kendall resetting her pole vault record,” said coach Casey Aylesworth. “We saw a lot of athletes continue their success with lots of personal bests by the end of the season. For the season to end with two athletes at Shippensburg is always a good feeling. Kendall winning a state medal is a perfect way to end her career, which is well deserved for how much time she spent working on vault with Coach Mac the previous few years.”

The girls’ team took sixth at the NTL meet with 60 points while at districts Kitchen was a runner-up in pole vault. McRoberts was fourth in shot put, qualifying for states after hitting the standard, and took third in the discus.

Kendall Kitchen went on to take eighth at states in the pole vault, while Alexis McRoberts just missed the finals in shot put.

On the boys’ side Canton was eighth at the NTL meet with 40 points.

At districts Lawrence Halbfoerster missed state qualifying times in the 1600 and 3200 by a total of seven seconds. He did make the podium in both events.

Both Halbfoerster and McRoberts return as next season, along with plenty of other athletes, as the Warriors look to keep building.
