
WYALUSING — RTL Minors baseball punched their ticket to the semifinals with a 23-2 win over NEBall during District 15 Little League bracket play Saturday.
RTL jumped out to a 6-2 lead, then added six more in the second. They finished the game off with an 11-run third inning.
Elliott Campbell (3-for-4) had a double, 3-RBI, and a run scored, with Ashton Cole (2-for-3) hitting a triple to go with 4-RBI, and three runs scored.
Ethan Shaffer (2-for-2) had three runs scored, and 2-RBI, while Emerson Clouse (2-for-4) had a double, 2-RBI, and a run scored.
Cayden Benjamin (2-for-3) scored three times, and drove in a run, with Forrest Fisk (2-for-4) scoring twice, and getting 2-RBI.
Adrien Cole (2-for-2) scored twice, and had an RBI, as Brantley Cron (2-for-2) had 2-RBI with a run scored.
Elijah Rought (1-for-3) had 2-RBI with two runs scored, while Wesley Carr (1-for-1) walked three times, scored four runs, and had an RBI. Eli Howard chipped in with a run scored behind three walks.
Clouse struck out eight as he went all three innings.
Cole W (1-for-1) had an RBI for NEBall as Lane A and Quaid Martin both scored.
Martin started, and went an inning, followed by Blake S going two-thirds with one strikeouts. Everett E and Jaxson W both went two-thirds innings.
NEBall will host Montrose on Monday while RTL will host Athens on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. start.
