Northern Tier Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Towanda Minors baseball fell to Southern Tioga, 20-8, during District 15 Little League bracket play Saturday.
Southern jumped out to an 11-4 lead, then added six more runs in the bottom of the second. Towanda rallied with four runs in the top of the third, but Southern was able to end the game with a 3-run bottom half.
Logan McNeal (2-for-2) scored twice, and had an RBI, as Lincoln Holcomb (1-for-1) had 2-RBI with a run scored.
Brayden Boone (1-for-2) had 2-RBI, as Ryker Fulmer (1-for-2) scored, and drove in a run. Diego DeLa scored twice, with Will Eberlin, and Rhys Tuttle also crossing home.
Tuttle started, and went one-third of an inning with one strikeouts. McNeal struck out four in the next 1 2/3-innings, as DeLa went the final inning with two strikeouts.
Towanda will host Canton Monday with a 6 p.m. start.
