
WYSOX — Late innings offense allowed Towanda to pull away from Troy, 15-8, during District 15 Little League Minors Softball action Sunday.
Towanda jumped out with two runs in the first, while Troy came back with a run in the second.
Towanda added one more in the third for a 3-1 lead, but a 5-run fourth put Troy up 6-3.
Towanda responded with a 6-run fifth for a 9-6 lead, with Troy closing it to 6-8 with two runs in the bottom half.
Towanda would tack on six more runs in the sixth to secure the win.
Sloane Stevens (2-for-4) had a double with 3-RBI, and two runs scored, while Natalie Dulaney (2-for-4) scored four times.
Brielle Pratt (3-for-4) had 3-RBI with two runs scored, and Skylar Chilson (3-for-3) hada double, 4-RBI with a run scored.
Nora Cashdollar (1-for-2) scored twice, with an RBI, as Madalyn Cox (1-for-4) drove in two runs.
Harper Reider scored twice, with Evelyn Maye walking four times, and crossing home once.
Charlotte Kellogg (1-for-2) had a hit.
Dulaney struck out one in five innings of action, while Gracie Vanderpool tossed the final inning to strikeout two.
Leah Cole (3-for-3) had a double with three runs scored to lead Tory, as Gabrielle Friedlander (2-for-3) had 2-RBI, with a run scored.
Haylee Estep (2-for-3) scored, and drove in a run, while Sage Beers (1-for-3) scored, and had an RBI.
Bailey Northrup (1-for-1) had an RBI, as Mariska Putnam (1-for-3), and Jocelyn Shumway (1-for-3) both scored.
Eryne Vanderpool (1-for-3) and Abby Judson (1-for-3) each had a hit.
Estep started, and went 4 1/3-innings with eight strikeouts, while Delaney Kenyon went two-thirds of an inning with two strikeouts.
Putnam tossed the final inning with three strikeouts.
