Northern Tier Sports ReportAthens’ Gretchen Hiley was named the NTL Softball Player of the Year by the coaches recently.
Joining her is teammate Memphis Paul (Newcomer of the Year) while NPL’s Elyna Booth is the Pitcher of the Year.
NEB and Athens are the Co-Coaching Staff’s of the Year.
The first team consists of Towanda’s Aleah Johnson and Tae-Lynn Brabant, Canton’s Jaylee Ward, Wellsboro’s Paige Logsdon, NEB’s Hannah Berger, Orissa Gardner, and Kelsea Moore, Athens’ Savannah Finan, McKenna Jarvis, and Madalyn Hiley, Troy’s Kali Ayres and Amber James, Wyalusing’s Addisyn Bly, NPL’s Addie Smith and Haley Litzelman, and Williamson’s Kaegan Short.
On the second team are Towanda’s Brynsen Vargason and Payton Perry, Troy’s Erinn Knapp, Canton’s Tara Gilbert, Williamson’s Kenna Thomas, Lexi Smalley, and Olivia Gee, Athens’ Ella Coyle, NPL’s Maddie Smith, Sayre’s Abbie McGaughey and Raegan Parrish, Wyalusing’s Treanna Nickeson and Rachel Wilson, CV’s Ashley Woodring and Zeraya Wilson, and NEB’s Makenna Callear.
