Northern Tier Sports ReportLEROY — Canton eked out a 2-0 win over Southern Tioga to stay alive during District 15 Little League Major Baseball action Tuesday.
Canton scored a run in the first, and another in the fourth to get the win. Tate Cole, Parker Earle, and Drake VanNoy combined to toss a 1-hitter.
Cole struck out five, Earle struck out seven, and VanNoy fanned three.
Cole (1-for-2) also had a double with a run scored, as Jase Pepper (1-for-2) had an RBI. Marshall Preston (1-for-2) also scored, with Tanner Gowin (2-for-2) going perfect from the plate.
Christian Moore (1-for-2) also had a hit.
Canton will host Towanda on Thursday with a 6 p.m. start.
