Northern Tier Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Towanda fell to Southern Tioga, 17-3 in four innings, during District 15 Little League Minors baseball action Friday.
Southern jumped out to a 2-run lead, then put up nine runs in the second, followed by six more in the third to go up 17-0.
Towanda scored three in the bottom of the third for the 17-3 final.
Diego DeLaO (1-for-2) had 2-RBI for Towanda as Will Eberlin (1-for-2), Rhys Tuttle (1-for-2), and Brayden Boone (1-for-1) all scored. Logan McNeil chipped in with an RBI.
Eberlin went the first inning, striking out one, while Sawyer Vanderpool tossed one-third of an inning.
Grant Nash went 1 2/3-innings with four strikeouts, while DeLaO finished the last inning, fanning one.
