Northern Tier Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — Canton Majors baseball fell 5-2 to Tioga-Lawrenceville during District 15 Little League bracket play Saturday.
Tioga jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, with Canton leveling things up with two runs in the second.
After a scoreless third Tioga pushed two more across in the fourth, then added one more in the fifth, as they held Canton scoreless.
Hunter Burr (2-for-2), and Marshall Preston both scored, as Grayson Pepper, Levi Fitzwater, and Parker Earle (1-for-2) each had hits. Jase Pepper chipped in with an RBI.
Tate Cole started, and went 1 2/3-innings with five strikeouts, while Earle came on to fan six in two innings of work.
Drake VanNoy went the final 1 1/3-innings to strikeout two.
