Northern Tier Sports ReportRTL’s season came to an end as they fell to Pottsville, 6-2, during the Minors baseball Section III tournament.
Pottsville jumped out with four runs in the first, while RTL came back with two runs in the third. Pottsgrove added runs in the fourth and fifth innings to pull away.
Wesley Carr (2-for-3) and Ethan Shaffer (2-for-3) both had multiple hit games, with Carr and Emerson Clouse each getting an RBI. Brantley Cronn and Eli Howard scored the two runs.
Shaffer started, and went four innings with five strikeouts. Forrest Fisk tossed the final inning.
