TOWANDA — It was a perfect August morning for Towanda football as they opened heat acclimation week on Monday.

“This time of year it’s always exciting to see what the kids bring,” said Towanda coach Jamie Wecker. “Every year is new, and this year is especially new as we graduated 15 seniors, 10 starters, so it’s a totally new team.”

Towanda football opens the season at CV on Saturday, August 23 with a 6 p.m. kick-off.
