Northern Tier Sports ReportROME — It’s a new look NEB volleyball team, with several new faces, including head coach Valerie Vanderpool.
Vanderpool coached the team seven years ago, and is now excited to return to a successful program she got started.
“I am very excited,” she said. “To be back, and to be back after such a great success that they’ve had, I’m really excited.”
Vanderpool vowed to return, and after getting a teaching job in the school district and the job opening up, it seemed like a good time to get back into it.
“It was just perfect timing,” she said.
NEB opens the season with a home match against Canton on August 28.
