Troy at Sayre, 7 p.m.: The defending state champions open their title defense on the road as they take on the Redskins at the Lockhart Street Bowl. Sayre jumped out early on Troy last year before the Trojans rolled to a season opening win.
Northwest at Canton, 7 p.m.: The Warriors open the season at home as they host the Rangers. Canton rolled past Northwest in the season opener last year.
Wyalusing at NP-Mansfield, 7 p.m.: The Rams head to Island Park to face the Panthers. Wyalusing earned a season opening win against NPM last season.
Saturday, August 23
Towanda at CV, 6 p.m.: The game was moved to Saturday to accommodate the officials. A young Black Knight squad hits the road against a team they beat at home last season.
GOLF
Monday, August 18
NTL at Tyoga Country Club, 10 a.m.: The league descends to Wellsboro for the last 18-hole for a few weeks. Towanda leads the league at 14-0.

Wyalusing vs CMVT at Meadowbrook Christian, 5:15 p.m.: It’s the battle of the Rams in Wyalusing’s season opener. They beat CMVT in their season opener a year ago.

Wyalusing at Meadowbrook Christian: The Rams finish up their tournament down at Meadowbrook.
Shamokin at Towanda, 11 a.m.: The Knights open the season at home against Shamokin.
