Northern Tier Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Troy boys cross-country team packed their way to a win over Wellsboro and Sayre during NTL dual meet action Tuesday.
The Hornets went 1-2 with Max Macias (19:46.89) and Henry Whitney (20:09.51) but the Trojans took the next eight spots.
Frank Harper (20:27.66) was third followed by RJ Bellinger (20:41.34) and Owen Campbell (21:06.99) in fourth and fifth.
Rounding out Troy’s top five were Ben Osgood (22:03.57) and Mason Wulff (22:35.5) in sixth and seventh.
On the girls’ side Wellsboro edged Troy (25-30) as Lauren Kosek (23:17.94) won the race.
Alyssa Rinebold (29:48.65) was third to lead the Trojans with Kalynn Keltz (30:51.72) in fourth. Sheridan Wilcox (33:18.72) took sixth, Charlotte Kafka (35:13.5) was eighth, and Sara VanNoy (46:00) came in ninth.
In junior high girls’ action Troy’s Annika White (14:38.49) won the race while for the boys Kyle Kibbe (12:20.29) took home first place.
Troy boys beat Sayre 20-35 but lost to Wellsboro (24-31).
