Wyalusing (1-2) will play host to Montgomery (2-1) on Friday with a 7 p.m. kick-off as they look to bounce back from last week’s tough loss to Wellsboro.

The Rams spent the week working on sustaining drives after seeing a few promising ones peter out during the game.

“We are working this week to sustain run blocks, and to sustain effort and enthusiasm for four quarters,” said coach Rich Rogers.

The Red Raiders are coming off a 58-0 win over Sayre, and beat Hughesville in Week-1 earlier this season.

“Montgomery is a solid team and shows improvement every week,” said Rogers. “We are going to need our best effort Friday night.”

KEYS TO THE GAME
Montgomery - Don’t get beat deep. It might be an odd thing to say for a team like Wyalusing that runs so well, but they’ve done a good job targeting Andrew Taylor, who has three touchdown catches over the past two games.
Wyalusing - Don’t beat themselves. Four turnovers and penalties at crucial times was enough to help Wellsboro eke out a win over the Rams. If they don’t beat themselves they’ll be a tough group to beat.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Lincoln Miller, Montgomery, RB - Miller had four carries for 122 yards and a touchdown in last week’s win over Sayre. He was part of the Raiders’ rushing attack that racked up 483-yards on the ground.
Andrew Taylor, Wyalusing, WR - Wellsboro needed to double team Taylor to stop him in the passing game as even when they were called for pass interference he still made the reception.
