Towanda’s Blaiz Nichols recently hit the 500 milestone, something every goalie dreams of getting but his team not so much.
“Obviously, it’s not good for my team, but it’s good for me,” said Nichols. “It shows that I can stop the ball when it’s needed.”
Nichols hadn’t given them milestone much thought until this year.
“I started in the eighth grade, and I just got thrown in,” he said. “I played the best I could.”
He’s loved being goalie ever since.
“I love being able to talk to my teammates and just controlling the way the game plays,” said Nichols.
