This Saturday the most of the NTL will descend on Northeast Bradford for the NTL Coaches’ Invitational, with racing beginning at 10 a.m.
The girls will go first, followed by the boys at 10:45 a.m. The junior high races will follow, with a kid’s fun run to end the event.
On the boys’ side Canton’s Lawrence Halbfoerster went undefeated in NTL dual meet action. NP-Mansfield’s James Knefley, the Wellsboro’s duo of Max Macias and Henry Whitney, and Towanda’s Boom Thompson are some other top names to watch, though Thompson might be at the District IV Golf Championships.
Others to keep an eye on are CV’s Aidan Neiley, NEB’s Jackson Martin, Towanda’s Emmett Klees, and Troy’s duo of Frank Harper, and RJ Bellinger.
Team wise Towanda comes in as the favorites while Troy is coming off a strong showing at the Baxter-McDaniel Invitational.
Sullivan County packed their way to an NTL Small School title, while NEB and Canton could also be in the mix.
On the girls’ side Wellsboro’s Lauren Kosek went undefeated in the NTL, with Towanda’s Maris Cobb and Izzy Larson leading the Knights.
Also from Towanda look for Mary-Kate Eberlin and Kenzie Brown, while NPM’s Jaci Fairchild, CV’s Lainey Hackett, and NEB’s Sophie Bennett are other individuals to watch.
Leading the Sullivan contingent are Zoey Reese and Addisyn Templin.
The Lady Knights come in as heavy favorites, while other teams to watch are Sullivan County, NEB, CV, and Wellsboro.
In the junior high race for girls NEB’s Julia Laudermilch went undefeated in the dual meet season. Others to watch are Towanda’s Talia Dzurinko, Wyalusing’s Reese Patrick, Troy’s Christine Ward, and CV’s Laiken Hackett.
For the boys Towanda had a few standouts, led by Brayden Cox, Wyatt Jones and Owen Brown. Troy’s Kyle Kibbe has also had a strong season, along with Wellsboro’s Wiley Sargent, Wyalusing’s Caleb King, Sullivan’s Seth Sweigart, and NEB’s Cameron Lockwood and Jesse Dewing.
